I am planning on doing just that on August 2nd, 3rd & 4th by taking part in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day. I will be walking in memory of my mother, aunt and grandmother, all of whom lost their battles with breast cancer. Awareness of this disease has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. If you haven't known someone whose life has been touched by this disease, unfortunately chances are you will at some point in your life.

The funds raised from this event will support research as well has help medically underserved women receive the care they need. Many women are living with undetected breast cancer. The sooner they are diagnosed, the sooner treatment can begin and they can have a chance at recovery.
